Civil war?

This is not a piece I wanted to write, not least because, in spite of the work done by me and many others over the decades with various forms of community activism, to even admit to the likelihood of civil war is an admission that our efforts have failed. That indeed is a bitter pill to have to swallow. Yet, if nothing can stop the current trajectory of increasing division, then I and many others will have no choice but to swallow that pill. Also, there’s the necessity of having to question some of my assumptions and beliefs in light of the dire situation that’s emerging. This is the inevitable consequence of a bitter collision with grim reality.

On here and our sister blog, At the Grassroots, I write a lot about community level projects as being a way of starting to bring about radical change. Prefigurative action in other words – building a new world in the shell of the dysfunctional and increasingly dystopian one we currently have to endure. I recognise that for any community project to succeed, there has to be a certain level of trust between people in a neighbourhood. An area where that trust has broken down is not going to be the kind of environment where a community project is even going to get off the ground, let alone succeed.

You don’t need me to tell you that there are areas in this country where the level of trust between people has broken down, to be replaced by either atomisation or by what are, essentially, turf wars between competing, hostile groups. From the proliferation of homes of multiple occupation and a constantly shifting population through to profound demographic changes that create neighbourhoods that sit alongside each other but do not interact with each other and, potentially could be hostile to each other, it feels like it’s harder than ever to build a sense of trust.

It’s not surprising that a small but growing number of people see this as an intentional strategy to demoralise us, divide us, atomise us and pit us against each other. This strategy creates levels of social tension that allows the authorities to offer their ‘solutions’ – ones of surveillance, control and considerably less freedom. Tragically, there are too many people who will not take a few steps back to see how they’re being played by a system that wants to wreck their lives before a ‘reset’ that will place us all in a digital prison. Instead, they respond like Pavlovian dogs to every piece of rage bait that’s put in front of them. Intentionally put in front of them in a bid to exacerbate tensions arising from situations that have been allowed to develop to the point where social disorder breaks out.

This is the situation we find ourselves in. The prospect of some kind of civil war is no longer being discussed in fringe circles – it’s starting to move towards the mainstream. I’d much prefer to be writing about and actively supporting grassroots projects that actually make a difference in the neighbourhoods where they’re based. Having watched the way situations are allowed to develop to the point that the tensions they create explode in social disorder on the streets, along with the way the powers that be are intentionally dividing us and stoking up those tensions, I’ve been left with little choice but to face up to the grim prospect of civil conflict breaking out.

A breakdown of trust and cohesion leading to conflict

Back in my Independent Working Class Association (IWCA) days when I stood as a candidate in the local elections in the Stanford East & Corringham Town ward in 2007 and 2008, I remember having a fair number of intense discussions about the issues surrounding immigration. The situation back then was different to the one we’re facing now. The far right in the form of the British National Party had morphed from being a street movement into an electoral party. In 2007 and 2008, there wasn’t anything like the far right street movements we see nowadays. This was before the launch of the English Defence League.

One of the issues I campaigned on was the damage multiculturalism was doing to our society. Multiculturalism was and still is a massive barrier to the integration of new arrivals in the country. It needs to be noted that the desire to integrate does vary considerably depending on demographics and religious affinity. This is dealt with later on in this piece. Even back in 2007 and 2008, I could see the damage multiculturalism would cause if it wasn’t challenged by an argument for integration and assimilation. For the record, this is what I published in one of the papers we distributed door to door in the ward when I stood in 2008:

Multiculturalism has failed - where do we go from here?

Originally anti-racism placed a strong emphasis on fairness and equality, with the aim of uniting people rather than dividing them. Multiculturalism, which insists everyone be treated differently, undermines the concept of fairness.

Examples abound: calls for the state funding of religious schools, money going into projects that benefit one particular ethnic or religious group at the expense of the whole community, and increasingly segregated schools and housing.

It is now clear that promotion of multiculturalism was never intended as a stepping-stone to universal social justice for all. It is instead a replacement for it. It stems from the desire to ensure the working class remains divided and demoralised while a devastating neo-liberal agenda is driven through.

For us, the choice for the future is stark. Either we draw together in pursuit of our common interests, or we sit back and allow multiculturalism to produce its bitter fruit - the disintegration of our communities and the growth of political and religious extremism.

If elected, we will submit the following motion to Thurrock Council at the first opportunity:

Fair allocation of council resources

‘This council agrees that using taxpayers’ money to fund projects aimed exclusively at one ethnic or religious group only serves the cause of those who wish to see society fragmented and polarised on racial and religious lines. Therefore, in the true spirit of anti-racism, this council agrees to no longer support projects based along, ethnic or religious grounds.’

I remember one pretty intense doorstep discussion where I expressed my fears about a situation developing where people would be forced out of their homes because of being the ‘wrong’ skin colour or religion. Worryingly, it’s starting to look as though the fears I expressed almost twenty years ago are closer to becoming a grim reality. At least some of the blame for this has to be laid at the door of the doctrine of multiculturalism which encouraged new arrivals to keep all of their cultural traditions, regardless of whether or not they were compatible with the mores of the host country. This situation has led to parallel communities who have very little to do with each other and to tensions along the interfaces between these communities.

No one in their right mind welcomes the prospect of some kind of civil war breaking out here in the UK. However, there is a significant minority of ‘patriots’ who appear to relish the prospect, seeing civil conflict as some kind of cathartic ‘cleansing’. Regardless of the grim toll of death, injury and disruption this would cause, they see it as a necessary stage in the ‘restoration’ of the country’s fortunes. Okay, I may be spending too much time on social media, most notably X, reading the comments of those longing for some kind of cleansing strife. However, when more mainstream commentators start to discuss the prospect of at least a low level civil war becoming more likely, then it’s time to wake up and take the threat seriously. Albeit, given the febrile mood of the country, it may already be too late as discussed in these two pieces:

“I think you will see something like Belfast during the Troubles, or Baghdad circa 2008 and 2010, in largely urban areas where people are essentially fortifying their neighbourhood for protection,” said David Betz, a professor of war in the modern world at Kings College London, in one of a plethora of interviews over recent months to right-leaning podcasts where he has found an eager and sympathetic audience.

A former government adviser on counter-insurgency, he envisages a messy asymmetrical conflict breaking down along urban and rural, but ultimately ethnic lines. Three “sides” will emerge, he claims: a Muslim population barricaded into urban enclaves, a white British one that regards government as illegitimate and “captured” by elites, and the increasingly beleaguered vestiges of the state.

A British Army airborne veteran has warned that the UK is at ‘boiling point’ and on a path that could lead to mayhem on the streets.

Craig Hollman outlined three scenarios that might unfold as a result of the continued protests and unrest, including over the use of migrant hotels.

The former 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery soldier, who served in conflict zones across the world with the 16th Air Assault brigade, reacted after Elon Musk claimed on X that civil war is ‘inevitable’ in Britain.

Hollman, 36, believes any outright conflict is highly unlikely but there is a chance that social unrest will become a regular feature of life.

These are just two of many commentaries around that talk about the prospect of some kind of civil war breaking out on the streets of the UK. These are from the mainstream media, not fringe commentators. This really should be setting off some alarm bells. We need to look at how we got to this point and what can be done to get people to step back from the brink.

What are the triggers pushing us towards civil conflict?

There are a number of factors that, each in their own way, are exacerbating tensions. I will do my best to look at these. Tensions that have been caused by allowing situations that could, and should have been dealt with, to develop and fester. Any reaction on the streets will then be used to justify the imposition of ‘solutions’, which will strip us of pretty much every freedom we currently have. A classic case of the deployment of the tactic of problem/reaction/solution in a bid to totally re-engineer society.

One of the potential factors that has been cited in pushing the country closer to open civil conflict is the ongoing issue of why rape gangs have been allowed to operate with impunity. This is about decades of the grooming of mainly white working class girls by mainly Pakistani origin gangs, a situation that has been allowed to go pretty much unchallenged by local authorities, the police, the judiciary and too many politicians:

Lucy Duckworth, policy lead at the Survivors Trust and Act on IICSA, said the findings of 85 areas were “not surprising”, adding: “There is no town this isn’t happening in. This is everywhere, everyone is at risk of child sexual abuse.

“Another inquiry is not the way forward. We have the knowledge and recommendations to make a change.

“It’s coming up to the three year anniversary on IICSA. We have research, let’s not just keep going: ‘What’s the problem?’”

The reasons for not confronting and dismantling these gangs? Commonly cited is the desire of the authorities to not appear to be ‘racist’ or ‘Islamophobic’. Some commentators have accused the authorities of cowardice in not tackling the rape gangs for fear of provoking civil strife and that they should face up to their responsibilities and tough out whatever consequences emerge as argued in these two pieces:

When some of those girls eventually overcame the immense terror of what had happened to them and informed authorities, entire police departments, local city councils, and the nation’s Crown Prosecution Service refused to investigate out of fear that they would be viewed as racist and that they would create “community unrest.” The anticipated reaction of the public against those immigrants was perceived as worse than the assaults that had taken place. Thus, the behavior continued unabated, and for thousands of girls and their devastated families, justice continues to be elusive.

If anything, rising anti-Muslim hate will probably make groomers stronger in their convictions, and drive ordinary young Muslim men towards fundamentalism, grooming gangs and terrorism. The camaraderie, protection, money, and kudos that these groups offer, makes them a strong pull for anyone. Worryingly, several young men I have spoken to joke that being a gangster and going to jail are their “life goals”.

However big or small the problem of grooming gang crime is, it is big enough to warrant national concern, not only because of the severity of crimes, but because of the degree of terror and threats to life involved. This really does devastate lives, families and communities. We don’t even talk about the non-survivors.

In what future historians may consider to be the spark that lit the fuse, earlier on this year, in a debate on the government’s draft child protection legislation, MPs in the Commons rejected a Tory amendment calling for an inquiry into the rape gangs: MPs reject Tory bid to launch another grooming gang inquiry - PA political staff | Independent | 8.1.26. Yes, this may have been seen by some commentators as Tory machinations to frustrate the government. The point is that an issue as serious as why these rape gangs appear to have been able to operate with impunity for decades should be one that takes precedent over playing politics in Parliament. The rejection of the Tory amendment is being seen by a lot of people as putting petty political point scoring above having to confront decades of serious institutional failure and misconduct. You don’t need me to tell you that the reaction to this amendment calling for another inquiry into rape gangs being defeated has been incendiary. This allows the likes Rupert Lowe of Restore Britain, who ran an independent inquiry into the grooming gangs, to take ownership of the issue.

Many people are wondering what kind of a political and social climate would allow the rape gangs to seemingly operate with impunity. Maybe the answer to that question lies within the ranks of those who presume to rule over us. The revelations coming from a partial release of the Epstein files have brought to light the utter depravity of the predator class who love to think they are our betters. This release has already done for Peter Mandelson and looks like being another nail in the coffin for the UK Prime Minister, Kier Starmer. It also implicates many other politicians and tycoons in not just sordid, but depraved and evil behaviour. The relationship between Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Epstein has provoked a flurry of activity from a monarchy that wants to distance itself from the depravity that is being revealed.

Mountbatten...that’s a name that’s heavily loaded isn’t it? The late Lord Mountbatten? The one who was a mentor to King Charles? The one assassinated by the IRA in 1979? He had a pretty sordid reputation, didn’t he? This is something that quite a few commentators have written about over the years:

A NEW BOOK claims that boys were taken from a notorious Belfast children’s home to Lord Louis Mountbatten’s home in Co Sligo, where he then sexually abused them.

‘Kincora: Britain’s Shame’ alleges that MI5 and the British political establishment have attempted to cover up his involvement in a paedophile ring which operated out of Kincora Boys’ Hostel in East Belfast in the 1970s.

The book was written by former BBC journalist Chris Moore, who has investigated Kincora for over 40 years.

Kincora opened on Belfast’s Upper Newtownards Road, close to Stormont’s Parliament Buildings, in May 1958. It closed in October 1980 following the exposure of sexual abuse there. The building was demolished in 2022.

According to the book, five people claim that they were sexually abused and raped by Mountbatten, who was a great-uncle to King Charles III.

Then there was the long friendship between King Charles and the pervert that was Jimmy Saville. If that doesn’t raise some questions about the moral fibre (or lack of it) of the monarchy, I don’t know what will:

The future king wrote to the Jim’ll Fix It presenter - later proven to be a predatory paedophile - praising his “straightforward common sense” as he asked for advice on public visits and speeches.

Savile was called upon to offer guidance to Sarah, the Duchess of York and her husband Prince Andrew and he even drew up a media relations handbook for Charles, according to the royal’s letters.

One letter written by Charles at Sandringham on January 14, 1989, read: “Perhaps I am wrong, but you are the bloke who knows what’s going on.

“What I really need, is a list of suggestions from you. I so want to get to parts of the country that others don’t get to reach.”

There’s a growing realisation that a significant chunk of our ruling elites are embroiled in some very dark and evil behaviours, which may well explain their apparent toleration of the Pakistani origin rape gangs inflicting their evil upon white working class girls. That’s not just shared misogyny but also, as already indicated, the role these gangs play in demoralisation and destabilisation. Is this destabilisation an intentional, long term strategy? Believe it or not, there was a time prior to 2020 when I would have dismissed this suggestion as nothing more than a conspiracy theory. Having been called a conspiracy theorist many times during the lockdowns of 2020/2021, and since, it’s a badge I now wear with pride. As previously touched upon, it’s a case of ‘problem/reaction/solution’. With destabilisation comes civil strife which then offers those who presume to rule over us the opportunity to offer their ‘solution’ to regain a degree of stability. As already mentioned, this ‘solution’ will see many of our freedoms permanently crushed.

To say this is leading to a febrile mood is an understatement. A growing number of people are fearing that the street disturbances the UK experienced in 2024 and 2025 will be not just repeated this year but will escalate into something more serious and divisive. This situation is not helped by a tone deaf Left who appear to want to bend over backwards to appease radical Islamists. According to some commentators, these Islamists appear to have a desire to start setting up ‘no go’ areas for non-Muslims in some of our towns and cities:

Even after the protest was relocated, groups of local Muslim men gathered in Whitechapel. Footage, widely circulated on social media, shows many masked, coordinated groups wearing black. In another widely circulated video, a member of the Stand Up To Racism protest attempted to assure a group of Muslim men, who kept themselves separate, that they were “on the same side”, to which one Muslim man said: “No, we are not.” The Stand Up To Racism activists had come out in support of the local Muslim groups, yet they were not welcomed. The exchange made clear that these groups have their own communal priorities and do not view ideological progressives as allies.

However, it does need to be acknowledged that material factors such as poverty do interact with cultural ones in creating what could be described as ghettos:

In Birmingham, Tariq is still thinking about the consequences of people jumping to make impassioned defences of diversity, but not recognising the overlapping pressures that affect minority groups living in economically deprived areas. In addition to being portrayed as a turbulent and segregated place, where outsiders fear to tread, just 46% of people are employed in Sparkhill, compared to the average in England of 71%.

“I talk to young people in our area and they feel a lack of hope. Some of that is the same as young people around the country — economic problems and what have you — but some of it is social exclusion, the fact they know they’re less employable as practising Muslims. Maybe this no-go zone stuff is ridiculous, but the underlying message is that it’s threatening to the mainstream for you to practise your religion and look the way you look. That has to have an effect, somehow.”

As well as a tone deaf Left, we have a government, one of whose departments suggested that the countryside wasn’t ‘diverse’ enough. Factors cited in the countryside not being ‘diverse’ and being ‘unwelcoming’ were dogs and...pubs! This may seem like a side issue but it’s another example of how the culture wars are being used to divide us:

Defra went on to produce a second report in 2022, titled “Improving the ethnic diversity of visitors to England’s protected landscapes”.

It found ethnic minorities associate visiting countryside landscapes with “white culture” and see “the English countryside as a white space, to which they did not belong”.

Another concern raised was that rural facilities mainly “cater to white English culture”.

It said: “Protected landscapes were closely associated with ‘traditional’ pubs, which have limited food options and cater to people who have a drinking culture.

“Accordingly, Muslims from the Pakistani and Bangladeshi group said this contributed to a feeling of being unwelcome.”

We’re not talking about all people of colour, far from it. We’re probably not talking about all Muslims either. We’re just talking about an element that wants to use these alleged fears about the countryside, supposedly held by Muslims, to batter those of us who love it. When you take a few steps back to think the situation through, Muslims are being cynically used by a nature hating, farmer hating, countryside hating government that wants to implement the agenda of the World Economic Forum. The problem is that too many people don’t want to step back and calmly look at what’s going on, opting instead for instant, knee jerk reactions that fuel already toxic culture wars and further spread division. But you know, for those who presume to rule over us, spreading division and getting us at each other’s throats is part of the plan, isn’t it?

Allowing situations to develop that will exacerbate tensions and create strife really seems to be part of a deliberate strategy, doesn’t it? The kind of strife that, as already mentioned, will offer those who presume to rule over us the chance to impose their ‘solutions’ upon us to try and restore stability.

One example is the number of asylum seekers coming across the Channel. The way asylum seekers are accommodated and dealt with has caused numerous tensions. Whether they’re housed in crappy hotels, homes of multiple occupation or redundant barracks, it always seems to be the same old story of creating tensions in the surrounding communities. Some of these already have issues of their own to deal with, without any more being dumped upon them. There are others, seemingly quite affluent, who want to preserve a sense of what they see as safety and tranquility in their areas.

As an aside, accommodating, managing and moving asylum seekers around is often contracted out and it’s big money for the contractors. They have absolutely zero interest in seeing a reduction in the number of asylum seekers coming to these shores. It’s not because they care about the welfare of asylum seekers, they don’t. They also don’t care about the neighbourhoods they get dumped in. All they care about is their bottom line. In other words, it’s a racket:

There are winners as well as losers when the state outsources emergency housing into a tight market. Clearsprings Ready Homes, Mears Group and Serco have collectively earned hundreds of millions of pounds from asylum accommodation since 2019. The National Audit Office estimates the overall value of the contracts, originally projected at £4.5 billion, is now some £15.3 billion. Contract clauses reportedly require firms to return profits above a 5% margin; audits indicate margins of between 5% and 7%, triggering repayments, yet substantial profits remain. Clearsprings’ owner has reportedly entered the Sunday Times Rich List linked to asylum accommodation revenues.

Away from the issues around asylum seekers, there are growing concerns about what some see as high levels of legal immigration into the country. Some of these concerns are about the pressure this puts on housing supply plus all of the services that we rely upon, many of which are struggling.

There are also concerns over how well immigrants assimilate themselves into the country. The point to bear in mind is that the degree of assimilation will vary considerably depending on demographic, cultural and religious factors. Some will happily assimilate. Others will not only cling onto their cultures, but will insist on pretty much living in what to all intents and purposes will be a ghetto, with little or no mixing with the host population.

From my experience of living back in the south of Essex, which over the last twenty years has seen an influx of people of African origin, while there has been some resentment, by and large, they’re mixing in reasonably well. A fair number of them are Christian, granted that some are pretty fundamentalist. The Christians among them tend to have small ‘c’ conservative values. Some have actually become Tory councillors. A fair few of the young men of African origin are playing football at a variety of levels in non-league clubs across the south of Essex. That’s integrating into an existing club structure, not setting up a team just for them.

On the other hand, from sources and contacts I know in the East End of London, they seem to think that Islamist radicals are gaining a foothold in the area, with some of them seeming to have ambitions to create ‘no go’ areas for non-Muslims. Going back to the 1990s when I was politically active in the East London area, seeing women wearing head coverings, let alone full length ones was quite rare. Sure, there was racial tension but at that point, the Islamists were still operating in the shadows, yet to gain a real foothold in the Bangladeshi community. How the Islamists were not just allowed, but encouraged by the Left to get a foothold in the East End and other Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin communities across the country is a story that needs to be told. Not least because there are lessons to be learnt from the complicity of much of the Left in bringing us to the dangerous situation we’re in now.

I remember attending a further education college in Barking & Dagenham during the mid 1970s and, despite the National Front being on the rise, one of the year groups I was in had a very diverse mix of students, white working class, Sikh, Hindu and Muslim to name but a few. We all got on pretty well to be honest. I remember one young woman of Pakistani heritage happily coming down to the pub with us for Friday lunch time drinks without saying anything about our consumption of alcohol. This was before identity politics and multiculturalism became the staple of the Left. Back then, the Left still had a materialist, class struggle focus. That would explain why there was nothing in the way of division between us. The emergence of divisive identity politics and multiculturalism in the intervening decades has caused immense damage. As I warned back in 2008 when I stood for the Independent Working Class Association, we’re poised to reap a very bitter harvest from this.

What happens next?

This piece is about the grim prospect of a civil war. This could be anything from low level clashes between ethno-religious groups and elements of the white population all the way up to the kind of conflict that scarred the north of Ireland in the 70s and 80s. The most likely divide is between Islamists and the rest. The minority of nutty, ethno-nationalists want to see the conflict as one being between the white population and the rest. This is highly unlikely to happen. I really cannot see any of the Christians of African origin we encountered when we were living back in Essex contemplating for one moment lining up along militant Islamists, particularly if they or their kin are from African countries that have experienced Islamist terrorism. The ethno-nationalists are taking a very simplistic and unrealistic stance on how they think any sides in a future civil conflict would cleave.

One of the theories was that this kind of conflict would only break out once the ‘patriots’ have realised that any electoral route that would meet their demands has failed. A number of ethno-nationalists are investing a lot of their emotional energy in hoping that Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain will eventually form a government. Restore Britain have only just submitted their bid to register as a political party. It’s a lengthy process and if they want to contest the local elections in May, they’ve cut it really fine. It’s a long lead in to contesting a local election if it’s going to be done properly – I can tell you that from personal experience! For the authorities that have been told that they can now hold elections, there’s little time for them or any of the candidates to prepare. It’s a mess. A growing number of people can see it’s a mess. With the Right and Far Right doing a pretty good impersonation of the infighting that’s traditionally been associated with the Left, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that a growing number of people are giving up on electoral politics as a solution to the issues they face.

Reform? Let’s take a very brief look at them. They’re basically the Tories Mark 2. They’re little more than revived Thatcherites, a bit of a tribute act if you like. Sure, there’s probably a bit more of a surge in their support to come but that will likely come from Thatcherite former Tory voters than any more of the disenfranchised white working class. Reform aren’t going to address the problems and issues of the disenfranchised white working class because with the defections they’ve taken in from the Tories, they’ve got too many people on board who were responsible for them in the first place! Reform on current form look to be out to replace the Tories rather than offering anything radical or new.

When it comes to an electoral force that would meet the demands of the ‘patriots’ and ethno-nationalists, while the likes of Restore Britain are courting their support, when it comes to an election, will they be able to deliver? As already mentioned, Restore Britain have only just submitted a bid to be registered as a political party, so it’s doubtful they’ll be able to make much of an impact at the local elections in May. All they are doing is shifting the Overton Window a long way to the right in that certain solutions once considered too extreme to be discussed in polite society are now being given an airing, mass re-migration being one of them. How the logistics of this would work is anyone’s guess, suffice to say it won’t be pretty. It would certainly have to involve an abandonment of so called ‘British values’ such as tolerance and fair play, that’s for sure. It should be noted that the Restore Britain have been pretty upfront about the ‘sacrifices’ that would have to be made to realise their vision.

When it becomes clear to the ‘patriots’ and the ethno-nationalists that their demands are not going to be met through the ballot box, what comes next? What Restore Britain are doing is making the formerly unacceptable, acceptable. Intentionally or not, they’re emboldening those who want an ethno-nationalist state to take action outside of the electoral arena. This is what makes Restore Britain and their ilk dangerous. By spouting the rhetoric they do, they’re effectively giving people permission to start taking action on the streets. Action that will be moving on from run of the mill street protests…

On the afternoon of Sunday 15.2.26, there was an anti-fascist fundraiser at The Red Lion pub in Redfield, in the eastern part of Bristol: Masked protesters target anti-racism fundraiser - Carla Walker | B24/7 | 17.2.26. Around thirty members of the self styled Bristol Patriots turned up in a number of vehicles, got out and proceeded to try to disrupt the fundraiser. This time around, they were seen off by the patrons of the pub and also, a number of locals who came out as well. This is an escalation from the series of protests the Bristol Patriots have organised in the centre of Bristol where they attracted between fifty to eighty people but were always faced off by a few hundred counter protesters. There’s only so much of that kind of humiliation they could take before a change in tactics and an escalation. What happened in Redfield was the start of that escalation.

The Bristol Patriots are effectively sending out a signal that potentially, no left wing/anarchist/anti-fascist/alternative event can be considered safe. It’s about creating a climate of fear where people, especially those considering themselves to be vulnerable, will think twice about attending such events. It also means that those involved in organising these events now have to factor in taking the necessary security measures to ensure they can pass safely without incident. That’s not just on the day measures, but also intelligence gathering. Fortunately, intelligence gathering is something that can be shared across a range of like minded groups.

The attempted attack on The Red Lion pub took place on a cold, grotty fag end of winter afternoon. Come the warmer days of spring and then the summer, with the way things are going, tensions are inevitably going to rise, leading to social disorder on the streets. On the one hand, you have the likes of Restore Britain shifting the Overton Window way off to the right. On the other, you have a tone deaf Left that will not acknowledge the immense damage the pursuit of multiculturalism instead of assimilation and integration has done to the social fabric of the country. Above all of this, we have successive governments allowing situations to develop to the point where social conflict becomes inevitable. As already mentioned a few times in this piece – a strategy of problem/reaction/solution. The solution being one suiting the techno-fascist agenda of the likes of the World Economic Forum.

As I’ve written more times than I care to remember, too many people are allowing others to press their buttons, reacting immediately to any rage bait that’s put before them. It really does feel like those who presume to rule over us are doing their utmost to get people riled up. It strikes me that it’s not through being tone deaf or ignorant – it’s being done knowingly to provoke a reaction, thereby creating a situation that will need a ‘solution’ – an authoritarian one at that. Not enough people are taking the time to ask some hard questions, one being – what is the agenda behind situations being allowed to develop to the point where social conflict is inevitable? Another one is – who is behind the spread of rage bait and why to they want us riled up and at each other’s throats? Then there’s this – are we being played, if so by whom and what is their ultimate agenda? A lot more people need to be asking these questions if we’re going to be able to step back from the brink.

I’m now seventy years old. I’ve seen a lot in my lifetime but this is probably the most worrying and dangerous situation I’ve seen. I’ve only got so much physical and mental energy left and I’d rather not have to devote it to trying to get people to pull back from the brink of civil conflict. However, we are where we are. All I can do is carry on trying to get people to take a few steps back, ask the questions that really need to be asked, realise they’re being played, and then unite against our real enemy, the elite predator class who would happily love to see us off…
